Nalani Haynes leads SHEROS-HHEROS with a mission to empower youth and families through mentoring, social-emotional learning, leadership development, legal literacy, conflict resolution, workforce readiness, community engagement, and reentry support. Her work centers on helping young people build confidence, make informed choices, and access the tools they need for long-term success.

With more than two decades of experience in corrections and public service, she brings a grounded perspective on youth development, community safety, advocacy, and second-chance opportunities. Nalani also serves as a Corrections & Reentry Consultant, Community Engagement Specialist, and ordained minister. Through SHEROS-HHEROS, she helps young people discover, develop, and unleash their superpowers.

Trinity Peak is a student at North Carolina A&T State University studying kinesiology, where she has been recognized on both the Chancellor’s List and Dean’s List. She is passionate about education, health, youth empowerment, and community service, and brings a fresh, youth-informed voice to SHEROS-HHEROS leadership.

Her involvement with Brown Girls in White Coats reflects her commitment to expanding opportunity and representation. At SHEROS-HHEROS, Trinity supports youth engagement, social media strategy, outreach, and programming that speaks directly to young people’s real experiences, goals, and aspirations.

Adam Walker brings workforce-minded leadership to the SHEROS-HHEROS Board of Directors, with a practical focus on helping young people prepare for real-world careers. He supports strategies that connect youth to hands-on learning, trade exposure, and pathways that build confidence through tangible skill development.

Through his board service, Adam helps align program planning with opportunity-focused outcomes, encouraging clear bridges between mentoring, life skills, workplace readiness, and sustainable employment options for teens and young adults.

Nina Johnson brings experience in program development, parent engagement, and community-centered education to the SHEROS-HHEROS Board of Directors. Through her work with Parent U LLC, she supports initiatives designed to strengthen families, connect parents and caregivers with resources, and create meaningful opportunities for young people. Nina contributes valuable insight into program planning, family engagement, and developing initiatives that respond to real community needs. As a Board member, she helps support the mission, growth, and responsible development of SHEROS-HHEROS.

Lawrence Bell brings extensive workforce, labor, and community leadership experience to the SHEROS-HHEROS Board of Directors. As an Operating Engineer and Business Agent, he understands skilled trades, union representation, workplace advocacy, career development, and the importance of preparing young people for stable employment and long-term opportunity. Lawrence also brings strong community leadership experience and a commitment to mentorship, service, and helping young people develop responsibility, confidence, and direction. Through SHEROS-HHEROS, he helps connect youth with real-world knowledge about skilled trades, workforce pathways, leadership, and professional growth.
